Last years corresponding fixture was played on December 30 with United winning 3-2, Ronaldo scoring twice and Solskjaer once. We played Reading four times in total, twice in the EPL(first time we have met in league competition) and twice in the FA Cup. Two wins (both 3-2) and two draws (both 1-1) , a total of 14 goals between the two teams, averaging 3.5 goals per game. Taking all this into consideration hopefully we are going to have a cracker of a first game.
We have played reading 14 times in competitive matches losing only once to them on the 27 Jan 1927 in a FA Cup 3rd round replay at Villa Park. I recon we will win it 3-0.
